Cosmote Mobile Server on WAP, come on now!

It appears that Cosmote, the major telco provider in Greek market, partnered with Out There Media, to serve mobile ads to their affiliated clients specially in mobile apps and Cosmote myview. Niobium Labs Mobile Ad Server provides this functionality, but this is also the core business model of Admob, recently acquired by Google.

No particular details on the deal were published, so it is not clear also who will be responsible for the key account management and how the revenue will be shared. Our recent experience with Cosmote pricing policies is that it will not be anywhere lower than 60-70 percent on Cosmote's gain. We will see, since this is very interesting action, although bulk to define the market. The other issue here, is how the mobile application developers will behave. After all you need applications to produce dedicated users and therefore use advanced mobile demographics to advertise with direct marketing. Is anyone out there writing code for Cosmote's mobile proprietary platform ?
